I was curious about the fabric of this dress - heavier and stiffer (very canvas-like) than any Zuri fabric I had seen before — so I tried it on and was very surprised. Once I wiggled around and got the fabric settled on my body it was extremely comfortable and the weight and stiffness were not noticeable. The colors (gray, brown, tangerine, cream) are not those I gravitate to, but the small pops of lavender bring visual interest and make this a noteworthy dress. I’m very happy with it.

This dress paves the way with all the right colors. It is a really flexible option since it has great patterns and can be dressed up or be more casual. It's sharp, be prepared to be stopped by total strangers and asked about your dress. I always tell them "it's a Zuri, and it has pockets!"

The artwork of this print is delightful, and brings to mind a geological excavation - jasper, tiger eye, agate, amber, citrine, jet, and amethyst! The apricot strata are vivid as can be.
It’s true that the fabric is stiff, but not uncomfortable, since I always wear an undershirt of some sort with all my Zuris. I just make sure to smooth and straighten it out when I get out of the car.

Goodness it’s beautiful. I love everything about the pattern placement on this one as well. The splashes of violet/purple around the collar, sleeves, and bits on the front and back are my favorite thing apart from the “stitch” detailing that is very reminiscent of kantha scarves/fabric that I have. Gives the print a lot of dynamism and texture - it would look more flat otherwise without all those dashes/lines.
Interesting mix of colors too. Orange, yellows, dark and light brown, dark and light greys, pink, white, purple…last grouping of pics shows some different views of the sleeves and the color patches. This particular dress has the perfect pattern placement of colors in my opinion. Some of the other dresses had more of the grey/brown areas on the sleeves and collar making the overall look more neutral.
Fabric is also the thickest/starchiest I’ve felt with any Zuri. It’s like putting on a canvas jacket. That may be off putting for some - especially in warmer weather but I enjoy the stiffer fabrics. They give me a feeling of protection and strength - like wearing a power suit.

I typically steer clear of warm tones like yellow, gold, and orange but something about this dress made me try it anyway. Maybe it was the cool geometric pattern and purple bits? Well, I’m glad I did! It’s super stiff, like cardboard but I like the structure of it and since I plan to wear the heck of this so eventually it will soften up.
