These textiles are a part of our 100% Made in Kenya collection and were printed in Kenya on Kenyan grown cotton. The print was designed by Shadé Akanbi. Raised in the Bay Area, Shadé credits her Nigerian-American upbringing and extensive international travels as her main creative influences for designing. Now based in Brooklyn, Shadé is the Creative Director and Designer of Printed Pattern People and it's a true joy to be able to share her work with you!

Love this print, the cabbages are somehow also roses and the color combination really springs to life. I also really like the lighter weight, though a little see through on its own. Perfect summer layer with jeans!

I have been waiting about 2 months since this dress came out and now I’m wearing it in Hokkaido, Japan. The cool, crisp cotton made in Kenya is the perfect base for this adorable design from Shade Akanbi! It fits perfectly and lends itself to all sorts of sightseeing!

I was so eager to try this one on that I just had to snap a photo or two without my usual makeup or iron! This is a dress to wait for, as it does not disappoint! The fabric is gauzy but not see-through, the print is simply adorable and I can button it up on my fuller chest! Yay!
