These textiles are a part of our 100% Made in Kenya collection and were printed in Kenya on Kenyan grown cotton. The print was designed by Shadé Akanbi. Raised in the Bay Area, Shadé credits her Nigerian-American upbringing and extensive international travels as her main creative influences for designing. Now based in Brooklyn, Shadé is the Creative Director and Designer of Printed Pattern People and it's a true joy to be able to share her work with you!

I waited quite a bit before getting Alpenglow because I was concerned it wouldn’t be great with my skintone. However, I read a couple of online posts that mentioned how it was universally flattering. This couldn’t be more true. It’s the perfect shade of salmon pink, with lavender and a bronze that makes the pattern shimmer. The fabric is lightweight and feels like it will soften over time. It looks great by itself or over jeans as a layering piece. So glad I got it!

I wasn't sure the muted peachy colors were for me but WOW! The fabric is a little lighter. The dress flowed well all evening and of course I had to add my funky flair.

I love the lighter tips of peach colour in this scallop shell design; truly gives a glow to this print... also, it's an intriguing colour mix of peach, lavender and caramel, which convinced me that I had to get this Zuri... it's a lighter weight fabric perfect for warmer weather and it simply shimmers in the sun and is a lovely hue even indoors.
