We're really proud to be working with Sasha, India's oldest fair trade cooperative to source ethically grown linen and cotton and to work with their experienced weavers in West Bengal to make these textiles. Learn more about these fabrics here!
Woven by India's oldest certified fair-trade artisanal weaving cooperative in West Bengal, these textiles are a dream! Each fabric is a hand-loomed blend of cotton and linen. We chose this blend for two reasons: 1) to create subtle texture and movement within the weave; and (more practically) 2) so that your shirts and dresses will be super easy to wash and wear, as they'll be more wrinkle resistant, more durable, and drape a bit heavier when worn. (While the fabric was produced in India, the dresses were all proudly stitched in Kenya by our team.)

I was lured to this shirt by the cute animals, but had some doubts about the size and fit, since I typically don't wear such loose and boxy shapes. What made it work for me is rolling up the sleeves, which gives this top a tad more structure. And now it's my go-to pieces. I love wearing it - usually with leggings and colored shoes. The fabric is comfortable, the fit leaves room for air when it's warm outside, and the adorable animals just brighten my day. I am pretty gaga over Menageries.

This shirt is gorgeous, it has a lovely linen /cotton medium weight feel to it which is perfect for Melbourne’s spring. The style is so comfortable to wear and looks fabulous paired with navy or black pants or over a simple tank dress. I can see myself reaching for this one often.

A lovely, substantial fabric - not heavy, but not of the lightweight/ translucent kind when held up to the light... and who doesn't love cats, dogs, birds, fish and a tulip thrown in for good measure... the images are pure joy and whimsy... LOVE this design and loose-fitting shirt style.

Yay for a print with cute animals! The plump green birds are my favorite thing. Very whimsical. I’m usually not big on the short sleeved shirts because they’re so boxy but this print made me smile as soon as I put it on and I couldn’t pass it up. I can fit a M in this shirt but choose to size up to a L for slightly more length over my hips.
The fabric is nubby but soft - more like linen than cotton - and perfect for warm weather. This is going to be one of my favorites. The colors are great together and I love that the fabric background is not a stark white - more like ecru/cream.

In my wardrobe! Menagerie arrived at my home yesterday and I couldn’t wait to wear it today. And now, as the day ends. I hated taking it off. This will be a very oft worn piece in my wardrobe, and I’m excited about the next time I put it on!
